I hear so much about the US military being over rated because of wars like Kosovo and Vietnam etc. But i think the rules of engagment and media greatly constrict the military’s ability to wage war properly. Also history has shown it to be near impossible to win against a guriella force. I think if the US went to a conventional war with a strong nation with no restrictions (only geniva rules) would dominate. Look at the first golf war. What do you think…do these modern conflict accuratly portray the capibilities of the us military or not.
LZ zulu great answer….my point exactly…war is war if you wont let your own soldiers kill people that are trying to kill you then you should be charged as a traitor.
let me put it this way:
a couple months ago, me and my platoon had an HVT( a wanted bomb maker) right in front of us, we could have put a bullet in his head and been done, but command said to let him go because there was a 7% chance that it was the wrong person. days later, a bomb went off, killing several people. The same person we let go was the culprit.
in other words, our military is capable of incredible things, it’s the “rules of war”(Irony) set up by liberal hippies that r leting us down
i don’t get the thumbs down, i guess the truth hurts
How can I find ways to setup and promote a junior golf event in Boring, Oregon?
I am trying to write a technical report for a writing class at Mt. Hood Comm. College and my topic is ‘Promoting Junior Golf at Mountain View Golf Club in Boring, Oregon.’ I am having troubles finding ideas on how to setup, run, and promote such an event.
First place newspaper ads. Come up with a good cause. Ask for donations from local sponsors, such as a per hole sponsorships, hole-in-one prizes, closest to the pin prizes, 1-3 place prizes in exchange for publicity.
Which is better for a budget golfing vacation, England or Scotland?
I’d always suggest Scotland, more interesting courses from my perspective.
Anyway, as an example, the most expensive green fees at St Andrews are £59 for the Old Course, the cheapest at Woburn is £75. The problem with St Andrews used to be that huge blocks of green times were bought by tour companies and you couldn’t easily just turn up and play. Royal Lytham and St Annes is £115+
Of course others may know the secret of getting a game in England for a decent price.
