what is the secret to a straight left wrist in golf?
I find this to be the missing peace to my puzzle. any advice would be helpful. I dont believe the training aids are helpful, cause it still does not allow you to understand how to keep a straight left wrist! I feel my grip, and plane are good, I am not fully cupped, but yet I see a slight break in the wrist.
If you wear a watch or a tight bracelet, stick a Sharpie under it, so half touches the back of your hand. Viola! When you swing, it’s gonna hurt if you don’t keep your wrist flat.
If negative reinforcement doesn’t work, try swinging slowly in front of a tall mirror. When you get to impact, stop and look at the mirror. You’ll know if your wrist is breaking just by looking at it.

What is the training regimen for the Momentus Power Hitter golf swing trainer?
I know weighted golf clubs can be harmful if used improperly. I recently purchased the Momentus Power Hitter driver but I did not receive the instructional DVD. What is the suggested training regimen or plan for using the driver?
Here’s a page with a pretty detailed review of the Power Hitter, along with these magic words about the DVD: “Ok, so the Instruction DVD suggests that you hit 20 balls with the Power Hitter, and then 10 with your own Driver.”
Golf Swing trainers to eliminate shanking golf balls?
I have tried the Inside Approach and other training devices, but would like to know if anyone has found, used and had great success with a product that really focuses on making more solid contact with a golf ball and helps improve long iron play. I sometimes shank balls, especially with long irons. Please help! Thanks!
save your money, dont spend it on any “magic” product because they dont exist. Spend the money on some lessons where a professional can look at your swing and tell you what you are doing wrong.
With my golf swing I always tend to slice. When I go to the range for practice, towards the end I usually stop the slice, but by the next time I go, I start to slice again. What are some ways to practice to keep my swing on plane? Any good training aids that could help? Thanks
(I’m right handed)
When the swing plane is the cause of a slice you tend to swing outside in. One way to correct this is to take a rolled up pair of socks, or something similar, and put it under your right bicep. Take a practice swing and try to keep the socks from falling out. This should keep your swing plane consistent. The cause of an outside/inside swing is when a golfer tends to lift the club head up too soon, during the back-swing, instead of pulling it back. Using the socks doesn’t really help develop the correct swing plane, but it works to try to correct a slice. Good luck!
What would be a good golf course/resort that offers a golf academy for a group of people. I have a group of 8-10, students, 15-18 years of age who are on a varsity golf team. We are looking for a course that has a pro or golf academy that could take just our team and work with them for a couple days. This would take place in the spring of next year. We are from michigan and are looking for an area that would be warm in the april/may months.
