Does anyone know if its possible to scalp tickets for the Quail Hollow PGA tour event in Charlotte this week?
I am planning on coming down for the Friday (May 1) round of the tournament, but need tickets. I am a little nervous about purchasing them through ticketmaster or any other online ticket site because the date is so close, and I am worried the tickets may not arrive at my address on time. Plus, with the express shipping fees, the tickets run ~100 a piece. Way too much… I do not know how “scalping” works in golf. Is it usually possible to find ticket scalpers, just like you would at a football or basketball game?
because its a great tournament, at a fantastic course, with the field of a major. I have been wondering that myself. We go every year on the friday round, and in years past, I recall seeing several people in lots close to quail hollow selling tickets. I am not very familiar with the area so cant give you specific directions and we always park at carowinds to ride the shuttles but I feel like you ought to be able to find something close by. There are always hundreds of people walking to the tournament from those lots where the scalpers are, so good luck.

Whats the better golf practice mat?
I’ve been looking at golf practice mats for awhile now and I’m kinda on the fence about which one to buy. The two I’ve been looking most seriously at are; The Real Feel Golf Mat, and The Perfect Lie by Fiberbuilt. Im not sure which is best and to be honest when I go to Fiberbuilt’s website I can’t seem to find one labeled Perfect Lie however at most sites it seems to be the highest rated. Also I will need a Net for my garage but I’ll worry about that after I pick a mat. Thanks in advance!
Both of those answers are equally useless! But thanks for the effort.
I’m so sorry, mine’s at home and I don’t know the brand name… But it is the best in the world. It’s got realistic rough, and it’s even got a portion that dips down when you make contact with it (like a divot… how creative!)

Is knowing how to play golf and tennis really important in the business world?
I don’t think that a company would make that a criteria for the job and I don’t know about tennis, but I am a golfer. Every year, there are hundreds of golf tournaments for business people. They are charity events or trade events. The best thing about them is the opportunity to network with leaders in your community in a very casual manner. It will also give you a day off, with pay, to go play. It is not always the CEO who is playing in these tournaments. If is often just regular employees. You could even find that your company wants to participate in the charity, so contributed the cost of a foursome and will send almost anybody to play. If you go into sales, the golf course is a great place to get to know your clients better.
By the way, in this type tournament, most people are not going to be great golfers. The scoring is set up differently so that everyone has a chance to win. So you do not have to be a good golfer, you just need to know the basics of the game, have the equipment and yes, the appropriate clothes. (In many tournaments, door prizes are golf shirts, so even the clothes can be free).
So I still say, no, it is not necessary, but it is likely to help you especially in sales, banking, and engineering.
