I am having a yard sale in a few weeks. I only go to a few a year and I don’t know what the usual prices are to charge for things. So what do you think I should charge for these:
kids mountain bike
fat 25″ TV
airconditioner
old dresser
skateboard
set of golf clubs
thanks please give prices for all, not just one.
I don’t know where you live, but around me people seem to be cheap so this is what i would sell them for
kids mountain bike 25
fat 25″ TV 20
airconditioner depends on size small 50
old dresser 15
skateboard 5 name brand 15
set of golf clubs 40
and i am trying to find a golf starter set (not junior) in toronto, somewhere near woodbridge, i am not looking to spend alot of money… somewhere between 200.00-250.00, if there are sales going on now, for the next week , that will fall near that price range that would be good also… the clubs i am looking for are ram, (any golf set with a good rep, ex. ping), and any other above decent set.. if you know anything please tell me thanks
Wilson has a nice set online for 300 (little more but they are nice) and there is free shipping…(at least in usa im not sure about canada)
i’m planning to buy a pre-owned golf club set for men which was only used for 3 days.
i’m a girl. is that okay?
will that have any difference in the game?
i’m just a beginner so i think buying a used set is not that bad.
Golf clubs come in varying shaft stiffness ratings, based on the flexibility of the shaft. Basically, they are Extra stiff, stiff, regular, senior and women’s. It has more to do with strength, swing speed and flexpoint than with age or gender. However, women’s clubs are also typically an inch or so shorter than men’s shafts as well, since the average woman is shorter than the average man.
Women’s clubs typically have a whippier shaft to allow for more distance with a slower swing speed. However, mass market clubs are made for the ‘average’ male or female. If you are tall, athletic, have strong hands and can swing tha club at a higher speed than the average woman, men’s clubs will work fine for you. Michelle Wie and Laura Davies can use men’s clubs because they are taller and stronger than most women.
As a beginner, it might not matter that much as you learn the game, but as you become more skilled, I would suggest going to a club fitting place (such as a Golfsmith outlet) and having them measure you and put you on a swing monitor than will check the lie of the clubs (the angle of the clubhead to the shaft) as well as match your swing for the proper shaft stiffness and weight.
You did not mention your height; the typical man’s club is made for someone between 5′8″ and 6′0″; shorter people often need to have the clubs cut down so they can take a normal stance without having to get too far from the ball at address.
Good luck and hit ‘em straight.

I have gifts for my girls but my Fiance is having a time trying to Find gifts for his guys?
I got my girls 5 things each from Bath and Body and we are all having pedicures with mimosas the say of the wedding on me. My Fiance is having a really hard time finding gifts. I’ll tell you as much as I can about the guys. He has 6. 1 likes golf, 1 likes fishing, 2 have motorcycles, 1 is into baseball (redsox) and his best man…I haven’t a clue what he likes. We don’t want the regular gifts everyone gets. We are looking for things that are unique.
They all wear hats and they are all beer drinkers and I saw a hat with a bottle opener on it on the first posters site. What do ya’ll think abuot that?
You can’t go wrong with a small bottle of liquor or wine with a personalized card. I would get them all their favorite bottle, with a bottle opener and perhaps a hat. This wouldn’t set you back toooo much.
or maybe a personalized beer mug? They have those everywhere and they look really nice. They could even use them at the reception?
