Which golf tournament has Tiger Woods won in Africa?
It’s been reported that with his Australian Masters victory Tiger has won golf tournaments on all continents. I can’t find which tournament he won in Africa and would welcome the answer!!
To be technical, the President’s Cup in ‘03 was a draw I.E. neither team actually won. The U.S. retained the cup from the previous President’s Cup match they won. He won some matches in that President’s Cup, but hasn’t actually won a stroke play tournament on the continent of Africa.
Why was there no Taiwanese flag displayed in Women’s World Golf Championship leaderboard on tele?
Taiwan was placed 3rd in Women’s Golf Championship.
Well done.
But noticably, there was no flag next to their name. Everyone else had a flag, China too.
If the organisers do not recognise Taiwan as a country, why invite them.
Since they did invite them, they recognise Taiwan as an independent country – if so why leave out the flag on leaderboard?
Doesn’t make sense.
They recognize it probably as a sub-group of China, not an independent country.
If you put up the flag, then Chinese officials complain and you have a lot of political turmoil instead of golf. So they just do that instead.
Since late November 2009, and early April 2010, how many major Golf tournaments has Tiger missed because he took a “break”?
Which ones?
The last major of the year is the PGA championship played in mid-August and the first is the Masters played during the first full week of April. So that would mean zip, zilch, nada, bubkis.
