Where In the bay area are good places for golf lessons?

golf lessons?

me and my fella want to learn to golf, but we dont drive so cant go anywhere too far. we havent got any equipment at the moment but we were thinkin of getin a dvd of lessons, which one would you recommend?

I don’t drive either but our closest nearby is a golf club. You should try amazon and look for the basics or a boo kthat explains about the drivers and soemthing called a handicap, all i know is that the lower the points, the higher you are.

over the top golf swing?

i have a golf tournament in the morning tommaroqw and im over the top on my swing can anyone give me some last min tips

When you get in the tournament the main thing on your mind needs to be your target and visualizing each shot…. take it one shot at a time.

If you need a single swing thought to bring your club back in plane though, there is one that Harvey Penick always used that I have found to be perfect. It’s simple, doesn’t cloud your head, and works.

“Start the downswing by planting your left foot.”

That will get you started from the ground up, letting the club fall in the “slot” instead fo starting with the arms and throwing the club “over the top.”

Just focus primarily on your target and visualizing the shot you want to hit, and plant your left foot to start the downswing, you’ll be fine.

most PGA pros are useless and will ruin whatever chance you have of getting good at golf be very careful who you go to, large resort pros are only interested in your money and will stand behind you for an hour(fifty minutes) saying how good you look and how much you are improving, if ANY pro says your knee position is wrong on the backswing or touches your knee with his club while in the backswing position, run away he’s an idiot
