Golf Instruction DVD?

Can somebody recommened a great “GOLF INSTRUCTION DVD” I am a high handicapper and want to improve on all aspects of my game.

Two that I would recommend is called “The Plane Truth for Golfers ” it breaks down the mechanics of a two plane swing and a one plane swing and helps you figure out what is best for you , it is available in a book and DVD , Also I would highly recommend “The Fundamentals of Hogan ” it goes over all aspects of the game from the grip the swing , short game , well it covers everthing , I hope that helped.

Tips on golf swing plane?

I played yesterday and I played pretty well except I missed 4 greens all to the right with a short iron in my hand.I know my problem is that I’m to steep. I also missed some drives right. When I try to flatten my swing i drop my hands inside and get underplane. Does anyone have any drills that I could do to get flatter without dropping to club to far from the inside. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

i do the same exact thing and now be careful with this but on your practice swing on the down swing come over the top to have an out to in but make sure you only do it once cause this couldcause a horrible habit but if you do that then line up and naturally it shouldnt let you drop your hands

Golf Swing trainers to eliminate shanking golf balls?

I have tried the Inside Approach and other training devices, but would like to know if anyone has found, used and had great success with a product that really focuses on making more solid contact with a golf ball and helps improve long iron play. I sometimes shank balls, especially with long irons. Please help! Thanks!

save your money, dont spend it on any “magic” product because they dont exist. Spend the money on some lessons where a professional can look at your swing and tell you what you are doing wrong.

Can anyone recommend a good beginners book for golfing?

I’d have to second the opinion on the Ben Hogan book. I gave it to my wife to read before we even headed to the range the first time to hit balls. We were able to communicate more easily since she read the book from cover to cover. She currently shoots in the high 90s to low 100s, which is pretty good for someone who doesn’t play all that much. She once shot an 85, which a lot of men would kill for.
The book was first published, I believe, in 1957 and many people consider it a classic. It has great illustrations and is an easy read. It’s like picking the mind of one of the greatest ball strikers of all time. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of golf.

How does a golf handicap affect each hole? i’m a beginner with an unofficial handicap of 38?

The only time it will effect each hole is when you play by holes. Let’s say your playing a 36 handicap. You will get two strokes. Each hole has been rated 1 through 18. The 1 handicap hole is the hardest. You would get one stroke on the number 1 and 2 handicap hole.
