How exactly does the handicap system work for golf?
What factors are taken into play. I know it’s not just what par on the course is.
It takes into account a bunch of different factors. The slope rating of the course, the course rating, and the par of the course. The slope rating is determined by measuring different amounts of obstacles and length of the course. The course rating is like what par should be, and obviously par is par. It is a complicated system.

Why does my golf glove get a hole on the top left index finger & start tearing from there 1st?
I’m an avid golfer who shoots from the tips and counts every stroke managing to stay in the 80’s. I’ve helped numerous golfers with tips and information but I want to know the reason for one I can’t answer. My golf glove tears a hole on the top left knuckle of my index finger before anywhere else. Why is this? Any real answers? I can only think that maybe my grips are too large when they are said to be regular.
Your gloves are fine, it’s your grip. Make sure that the club grip is layed in your hand correctly and that you’re not gripping too tightly. Also, make sure that you’re not “regripping” when you are going through your pre-shot routine.

Sometimes golfers play “Skins” game. What is it? How did it originate?
Skin’s game was a Jack Nicklaus, developed for TV back in the early 80’s, concept It pitted 4 golfer vying for skins where it required one golfer to beat the other three to win the skin. If two or more golfer tied for the low score on the hole the skin was tied and carried over to the next hole, the next hole would then be worth two skins. That carry over was progressive until the skin was won in which case the skin value would revert to one. The one with the most total skins would be the winner. Variations where different holes are worth different amounts of money have made it sometimes that the money is used to declare the winner. Additional applications of the skins game are used where many golfer often in different fore-somes compete for skins. It is essentially a form of gambling where the single low score on any given hole wins the money.
