golf grip tape
Why is Gorilla Golf Tape used through out the Golf Manufactuing and Club Repair Industry?

Is it becuase StukOnTapes Gorilla Grip Golf Grip Tape is simply the best in the world or is it due to their highly aggressive Rubber Base adhesive system that is cast onto a 34# crepe carrier supported by a 60# Kraft Easy Release liner? This tape is for serious golfers that no about and want a superior grip. Thats what it says on their web site. Now I want to know what you think of the tape.

you’re a loser. all of your “questions” and “answers” are ads for grip tape. post your crap on eBay, we don’t want it here.

proper golf grip pressure
Does anyone have a good thought process for proper grip pressure for golf.?

THANKS KRH

Sam Sneed, one of the finest swingers and golfers of his day had a saying about grip pressure ” Make believe you are holding two baby birds, one in each hand. Use enough pressure to hold them and not enough pressure to squeeze them.”This is applicable today.. If you are holding the club with adequate pressure, you can feel the club head at the end of the shaft. With practice you should be able to get that sensation on every swing. Gripping tighter doesn’t equate to longer hits. In fact you will find the opposite to be true.

golf grip
How do I fix or swing with a non-overlapping golf grip?

Ever since I started to play golf, I never went with a “Vardon” or overlapping finger golf grip. Part of it is that my hands are small so I grip the golf club with my two hands separated, but next to each other. It’s more like a baseball grip without the over rotation of the hands to make my swing too strong. Do I just keep using this type of grip and if so, how do I cope with swing inconsistencies or should I get a smaller grip? What else would work? HELP!

Keep your grip except try this: For a right hander, most of the grip pressure from your right hand will come from “pinching” the grip in between your index finger and thumb. This will help keep a consistent grip point and give the effect of a interlock or vardon grip.

Hope this is helpful.

golf tips putting grip
I need work on my grip on my golf clubs can any body give me some tips on what the best grip is?

I use a baseball grip for all clubs except for putting i putt cross handed is that good

The first thing you need to do is choose between interlocking and overlapping. Interlocking is when your pinky’s interlock. Overlapping is when they overlap.

The next thing is to look up pictures of neutral, strong, and weak grips. A strong grip causes draw. Weak causes fade/slice. Neutral does neither.

Grip pressure is also imortant. You need a just enough pressure so that yourclubs doesnt change positions at anytime during your swing. Not so soft, not to tight.

Putting grips are whatever feel most comfortable. There are hundreds of different styles for full swing and putting. Do whatever feels comfortable.

Good Luck.

golf grip pressure
I was wondering if grip pressure is the primary reason for blisters in golf?

I have had about five lessons and have been hitting a couple of buckets a week I am hitting the ball much better but I am still getting blisters and wearing out my gloves.

It could be your grips. Several years ago I tried the corded grips and they were too rough on my hands and I played a lot of golf. I re-gripped my clubs with a tour wrap type of grip and the problem went away. Try a club and see.
