Okay I know that it sounds stupid, but I love to golf and I’m looking for a set of PURPLE Women’s golf clubs. I know that there are junior one’s at Target, but my husband won’t let me have them. (I’m short enough for them!) So any thoughts people?? I’m hoping to have them by June for our family reunion golfing tournament! I already have purple shoes, gloves, balls, tees, the clubs will just top it all off!
Anyone know of any websites where I can get free golf tees to try out as I am really cheap!?
Go to any golf course, preferably one which is private. Walk the 18 tees and guaranteed you will find ample tees to last a considerable time. Those playing the muni courses are cheap as well . Don’t expect to find many full tees there.
Why do Titleist ProV1 golf balls turn brown after a few impacts?
until recently I played only Maxfli golf balls. While trying to add a few yards to my drive, I tried the Titleist ProV1x. I like the ball, it feels great and liked the results. However, at the end of the round, I had a ball that had brown scuffs on it. They didn’t wash off and I am assuming they are from impact. Is this because of the difference between the soft cover as compared to the harder cover of the cheaper balls? I want a ball that is long off the tee, any suggestions.

Thanks
Yes they are from impact, but it’s the paint scuffing off. The underlying surface is actually a tan shade. For the “best” ball around, they didn’t bother to fix that issue for the last five years.
I switched to the NXT Tour a year ago, and they are about 5 yards longer in most situations. However, they have their own cover issues. The dimples wear very quickly. My game does not demand excellence so it’s not that big a deal though. At almost half the cost I like them just fine. Good luck.
NoTitleist ProV1/ V1x or tour golf balls.
Price range from 5.00-30.00 dollars
Whats the price range here? Under $30, I would say titleist HVC Soft or maybe the Nike one black. Other than that, you might as well just hit a rock around the course…

What is the difference between Titleist Pro V1 “Practice” golf balls, and the regular Pro V1 ball?
saw some of these that were used for the range at a pga event. its just a normal titleist pro v1 ball, except it says “Practice” on the side of the ball. Is there any difference between these and the normal, regular Pro V1 ball? (same with nike balls, says “practice” on the side, any difference?)
The Titleist Pro V 1 Practice may consist of balls with slight exterior blemishes which do not effect the flight of the ball or overproduction that is used on the driving range at various pro events as a form of advertising the product.
used golf balls – titleist pro v, pro v1, pro v1x, prov1
i was wondering if brands like wilson, srixon, intech, ram, etc. are really worse than titleists and callaways. Also I know that titleist makes topflite and was wondering if any titleist and topflite balls are the same thing.
First, Callaway (not Titleist) owns Top Flite and, no they are not the same. Very cheap Top Flite, Wilson, Intech and Ram balls tend to be very hard, which can make them long but have no control around the greens.
Titleist, Callaway and others make both cheap junk balls and high-end quality balls. Titleist DT balls are junk and Pro V1s are premium.
COOL NEW GOLF BALL: A whole new sport. Move over Golf
I just got to know the news regarding Callaway Sue Titty for Pro V1, however i dont quite understand the whole matter, could someone tell me?..
Oh yes, are we still allowed to use Pro V1 balls next year, is it illegal to use them next year?thanks
Titleist has lost a patent ruling and is appealing that loss to Callaway but making plans to issue a new Pro v1 family early in 2009 that does not involve the patents in question. Golfers are not a party to this in any way and will still be able to play the current model or any USGA sanctioned new model. See the paste below from a CBS Sportsline article from last week.
“Thus, Titleist is clearing out current inventory in anticipation of shipping new Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls that steer clear of the contested patents. Golfers are not affected by the litigation as it pertains to playing with Pro V1 balls. All versions of the Pro V1 family conform to the Rules of Golf.”
What is the difference between MRH and MLH golf gloves?
I’m thinking of buying a few golf gloves for my brother’s birthday but when I look it up they have MLH or MRH golf gloves for the same type and I have no clue what the difference is…
also, i’ve narrowed down my choices to Taylormade, 3m greptile, mizuno, or footjoy gloves…i was wondering if anyone could also add in which they preferred and why?
Thanks!
MLH- mens left hand (or for right handed swingers)
MRH- Mens right hand (or for left handed swingers)
I used footjoy for a long time until I recieved a free mizuno glove at a junior tournament i played in, then i fell in love with these. They fit very nice and last pretty long.
