golf schedule
How do i schedule a golf outing?

I have 12 players that are playing in foursomes. They are playing 7 courses. Where can i find a schedule to make sure everyone plays with each other (in the same foursome) as evenly as possible?

If you want to play all the courses and shake up the foursomes, I suggest a oun robin format.
I am an ex golf pro and this is how I ran many of the mens golf association tournaments. Goto
http://www.fileedge.com/all/round/ and there is a round robin sheduler there to input names and schedule all 4somes. Good luck and enjoy.

golf injuries statistics
Trying to find statistics on professional sport related injuries including MMA,Boxing,Football etc….?

I basically want to draw a comparison to all professional sports related Injuries/deaths. From Mixed Martial Arts(ufc, king of the cage, WFA etc…) soccer to Boxing even bicyle Racing and Golf lol…Can some one give me a good link to preview the latest injury total in All professional sport related injuries. Any info would be much appreciated… Thanks

I hate that mma crap. Mma gives the real Martial arts a bad name. Half them guys in the ufc would get their but kicked if they had to go up against a real grandmaster.

Hell, I bet ear bitein Mike tyson could kock out half the guys in the ufc.

IS anyone interested in sponsoring me in my attempt to play professional golf?

I have a young family and cannot afford to try it without financial support from somewhere. I will represent your company or name with honor and dignity on and off the course. I’m 32 years old and live in Michigan. I have the game to make it, but I need to commit. You won’t be sorry.

golf schedules
How do I make a golf schedule for a professional country club?

I’ve been tasked to develop a a schedule of matches for a couples’ golf league. There are eighteen couples that must play each other over the course of 17 weeks. I need to make this schedule keeping in mind that one of the couples are unsure if they will participate for the season and may cancel. How would I go about making this?

Just number the couples 1 through 18. Set up a grid where in the first week 1 plays 2, 3 plays 4, 5 plays 6 etc. In the second week move couple 18 to the top to play 1 and move everyone else down a rung 2 plays 3, 4 plays 5, 6 plays 7 etc and just keep moving down until they have all played each other. You can’t determine the final schedule until you know if the unsure couple is in or out.

golf scores
How good of golf scores does it take to make a college team?

I am on my HS golf team and i was just wondering if i wanted to join a small college team not like the best but just like a basic team. I am a sophomore and I shoot low 80s’ by the time I am a senior will i be good enough?

I played division III in 2000, so while it has been a few years I don’t imagine the scores have dropped much. When I played in college I shot in the mid to high 70’s. If you can walk into a college with a USGA verified handicap of 6 or better I would bet that most D III, and probably most D II schools will give you a chance to try out for the team. If you could get some sort of amateur tournament under your belt and do well in it that would help too. If you want to play golf at a higher level the more proof that you have to verify your golfing skills the better. Keep working on your game and expand your golf to other things besides your high school golf team. Best of luck!

golf and tennis world
Is knowing how to play golf and tennis really important in the business world?

I don’t think that a company would make that a criteria for the job and I don’t know about tennis, but I am a golfer. Every year, there are hundreds of golf tournaments for business people. They are charity events or trade events. The best thing about them is the opportunity to network with leaders in your community in a very casual manner. It will also give you a day off, with pay, to go play. It is not always the CEO who is playing in these tournaments. If is often just regular employees. You could even find that your company wants to participate in the charity, so contributed the cost of a foursome and will send almost anybody to play. If you go into sales, the golf course is a great place to get to know your clients better.

By the way, in this type tournament, most people are not going to be great golfers. The scoring is set up differently so that everyone has a chance to win. So you do not have to be a good golfer, you just need to know the basics of the game, have the equipment and yes, the appropriate clothes. (In many tournaments, door prizes are golf shirts, so even the clothes can be free).

So I still say, no, it is not necessary, but it is likely to help you especially in sales, banking, and engineering.

golf olympics
Golf Olympics?

should there be golf in the olympics?

Personally, I don’t think that golf should be in the Olympics.

The original (modern) Olympics in 1896 had only 9 sports; athletics, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, weightlifting, shooting, swimming, tennis, and wrestling.

Some of the sports that are now included are, to me, a bit ridiculous; beach volleyball, baseball, softball, etc.

Cricket and rugby union were included but are no longer but there is talk of bringing them back – I hope not, even though I am a rugby fan.

For the 2012 London Olympics, there will be 26 sports; I used to enjoy watching the Olympics with the traditional sports like track and field, weightlifting, shooting, and swimming, but nowadays things are getting out of hand with sports like beach volleyball!

So, no I wouldn’t like to see golf included; the PGA Tour events provide enough excitement and entertainment as it is.

golf updates
Who manages and updates the rules of golf in the United States, its territories, and Mexico?

In the USA I suppose either the USGA Or the PGA regulates the rules of golf. In Mexico they probably depends on the USGA Or the PGA.

golf news articles
New Golf rule signifying that only english speaking players are welcome. Opinions?

http://www.golf.com/golf/tours_news/article/0,28136,1836650,00.html

What do you think? I think it’s perfectly acceptable.

The LPGA is an option for these foreign women because there is more money here than there is elsewhere. Where do people think the money comes from ? It comes from both the fans and the sponsors. It is awfully hard for these women to create a following in this country – thus making it a hard sell to the fans and sponsors – if they cannot communicate with the fan base. Without the ability to communicate a bit, the players are nameless, character-less figures hitting a ball. It not the God-given right of anyone to collect the bounty of the LPGA without having anything to offer to the selling of the sport.

One of the big sources of income is the Pro-am held at the tournaments. It gives sponsors an opportunity to mingle with the athletes and propels them to spend the dough on the sport.

It is economics and has nothing to do with racism or xenophobia
