golf swing speed exercises
How can I increase my golf swing speed (suggested exercises or technique tips)?

I am a 2 handicap, current head speed around 105mph.
I am a male, age in 30’s, 5′10″, 170 lbs, in good physical condition.

Without seeing your swing, knowing how often you play, practice and how far you hit the ball now Herer are some suggestions

Club head speed and solid contact equal distance

Timing is the key for this to work. Here are some articles that should give you more club head speed.

There are three checkpoints that deal with your wrist hinge. During your back swing, the top of your swing, and just past impact

golf exercises for flexibility
Are there any specific golf exercises i can do to increase my driver and iron distance?

Please do not say strength and flexibility exercises because they arent specific. (e.g: push ups are specific). I am a teenage weekend golfer looking for some more distance off the tee and irons. Thanks.

You can try here…..It may be of some benefit to you.

Golf Exercises?

I am 15 and I decided it is time to go full out golf. I am getting lessons, have a range pass, a membership, basically everything related to the course. But while I am at my house, in the winter or the summer, what exercises should I do to improve my game?

stretching your upper body could really benefit your game. obviosuly, the more flex you can get out of your torso the better because that means you can take your swing back further.

you could also do pushups to gain upper body strength.

long walks/runs will help you out too. im not sure if your on the school team–but most schools require their players to walk. so anything you can do to prepare yourself for this would benefit you greatly.

good luck! i admire your determination and initiative at 15!!!

golf exercises distance
What are some good exercises to get extra distance in my golf game?

I know that the best way is to be accurate which is also more important than distance but besides that….what are some good exercises to do to add distance and perhaps clubhead speed with my shots? I also know that clubhead speed depends largely on the whole body working together to transfer energy but I am just curious about exercises to do. thanks a lot!

As I have gotten older(45), I have found that core strength has increased my distance more than arm strength or leg strength.

Using a workout ball do 3 sets of 15 sit-ups, then put your belly on the ball and do 3 sets of back bends to strengthen your lower back.
Ensure that you do full moves to keep your muscles stretched out.
NO COMPRESSED MOVES!! as this will shorten your muscles over time. *Note* Look at how a Body Builders arms are always bent, even when they’re just standing around.

Now for the fun stuff.

Using a weighted club device, I prefer a donut, make 15-20 swings continually by starting the club forward until your hands are hip high, then swing the club backwards to full extension, then forward to full extension. Back-Forward 1, back forward 2 ect…Only swing as hard as your balance will allow, easy at first working to full power. Goal is to reach 100 swings both forward and backwards without stopping and maintaining balance throughout it all.

Hope that this helps.
