What does stable mean when talking about disc golf?
I have been watching a lot of youtube videos about disc golf, and they keep saying the word “stable.” Does that mean flying straight?
Yes when people are talking about Stable they are talking about a disc that is fairly straight. Then of course you also have overstable and understable. Some examples are: (I don’t throw much Discraft so these are all Innova)
If you are starting out everything will most likely seem overstable for you but once you start to develop a form you will start to see the disc start to straighten out for you and do what they are meant to.
At the bottom of the following there are some common disc golf terms in case you come across another you aren’t sure of.
Anyone know of any similar tournaments for fun? Travel?
I’m heading to Orlando to play in this tournament. In order to keep my game up and have fun through winter, do any of you know any similar tournaments that you have either played in or know about?

I am planning to move from Atlanta Ga. to Portland Or. this year. In Atlanta the courses stay open year round and we are able to play almost any day during spring, summer, and fall. Also, we do have several nice semi-warm days that pop up during the winter that allows us to sneak in a couple of rounds.
How often will I be able to tee it up in Portland during the year and what will the weather be like?
Portland is a long ways away from Bandon. I live 2 hrs from Portland. Be prepared to golf in the rain during about 8 mo. of the year. Portland doesn’t get much snow and there are several nice courses to play that are open year round. Pumkin Ridge is probly the best. Summer never gets to hot so you can play alot. We also have good weather up until late Nov. And can sneek out quite a few days in the winter. Rain Gear is a must.

Well what you have in your bag differs from what course your going to play. i have 7 rocs (3 kc pro others dx) 5 drivers (2 starfires 1destroyer 1firebird 1 avenger) and 5 putters ( 1 star bigbead and rest dx) and 1 cyote…. i think the most found disc in a persons bag would have to be a roc. very great disc easy to throw nice distence ( about 310ft or less)

I just got some ultimate discs a week ago.
