Testing clubs at golf smith or golf mart?
I want to test clubs and driver at golf smith or golf mart. Do I have to buy the equipment from there for them to check my swing speed, what shaft, stuff like that. Or do they charge a fee to test. Approx
how much will it cost . If any one had a personal experience and how did it go.any one got clubs custom fit some where else please
share the experience and how much it improved there game
In the practice area at Golfsmith, they have a rack with a flurry of makes and models so that you can grab a club and take a few swings with it to see how it feels.
If you want to know your swing speed, shaft recommendation, etc., then you’ll need to make and appointment with Golftec (they are usually found inside the Golfsmith store and are their own business) for a club fitting. This is where this is done. They do club fittings for irons, drivers, and I believe wedges as well. The session cost me $50 but I believe it’s gone up in price now to $100.
They will measure all of that information and allow you to try a handful of different models and manufacturers and measure the results of each.
After the session, you’ll have a printout showing the results and they will also give you a recommendation as to which club model/manufacturer is going to help your game the most.
I had a fitting for irons at Golftec in February and the result was the Cobra S9II irons. I needed to have the lie angle adjusted by a half degree.
I ended up purchasing them directly from the manufacturer and I’ve been really happy with the results thus far this season.

Where can you get cheap golf shoes?
And how much do they cost?
first off, you have to be specific in brand, and womens or mens. a good way to bargain shop for golf shoes is to look on websites like golfsmith.com, golfgalaxy.com (look in bargain bunker), or tgw.com. Another good thing is to check at a local target or walmart. you will always be able to find unbeleivable prices wherever you shop.

How to pick the right golf clubs for beginners?
anybody can help?
Purchasing the most expensive golf clubs you can find doesn’t mean you’ll see an improvement in your golf game or your level of enjoyment. You need to pick clubs that feel good to you and have the right amount of flexibility in the shaft for your swing strength.
Step1
Ask a golf professional at your local club or local golf retailer to measure your swing. The speed of your swing determines the appropriate flex for your club shaft, which can improve your comfort and distance.
Step2
Rent clubs when you go golfing, choosing different styles each time you play so you get a feel for several different types and sizes before you make a purchase.
Step3
Ask friends and family members who golf to let you try out their clubs. Question them about why they chose the clubs they have and what they like and dislike. They may be able to guide you to a club, or help you avoid making their mistakes.
Step4
Purchase only a novice half set of golf clubs to start. The half set includes all the clubs you need to play the game, without all the extras. Many beginners find that using a half set makes it easier for them to select the best club.
Tips & Warnings
When you purchase a half set of novice clubs, buy a set from a recognized manufacturer so you can add to it as your golfing skills improve and you’re ready to advance to more clubs.

what is the best website for buying golf club sets for cheap?
Ebay, for sure. Just make sure you buy from a reputable seller that has pretty close to 100% feedback, so you know he’s legit.
However, check out pga.com before hand. You can click on the equipment tab and scroll down to value guide. This will give you trade in and retail value for clubs. You definitely won’t pay trade in value however shouldn’t pay over retail value.

what is the cheapest site on the net that sells nike golf clubs and bags?
and that dont have insane international delivery prices
3Balls, Global Golf, and RockBottom are great sites to go to. They are REPUTABLE companies that have great prices. I have bought many clubs from them. Be weary of companies with prices that are too low. They are most likely “Made in China” knock-offs.

In your opinion what are the best kind of golf balls, and what kind of balls can you buy in bulk for cheap?
my favorites are the Titleist ProV1x’s. Balls are kind of funny though. Each one hits a little different so its a matter of what works for you. I like low spin balls so i get more distance but i sacrifice spin (not like it really matters since they spin so damn much anyways…..)

I’ve never golfed before, would I be ok just setting up a tee time and giving it a shot?
My apartment complex has a golf course that I can go play golf at really cheap. I’ve never played before (unless you count wii golf) so I’m worried if I just show up and start hitting balls around I’m going to break a bunch of rules and make all the other players mad. I was thinking about going when it wasn’t busy then I just need to hit the balls into the hole right?
Be the ball. Nanananana nanananana…
I did say I was going to go when I knew it wasn’t busy. And it’s just the golf course in my apartment complex, not Pebble Beach.
HECK YEA!! i don’t think anything is wrong with going and trying something new. if you wear argyle socks and capris pants you will probably do better….if you are worried about golf snobs getting pissed at you, mini golf is a fun alternative. especially the courses with a storybook theme…you should still wear the socks and pants but add a nice hat and probably a flask or two. leave the golf buggy at home for this adventure though.
HAPPY SWINGIN!!
