i work for a texas impound lot. the lot is pretty big so we use golf carts to escort customers to their vehicles. while waiting for an escort a customer sat in one of the golf carts and hit my parked car. i made a claim with my job but they denied it saying that the customer was at fault. would her auto insurance cover the damage?
wasnt me that left key in it. she walked thru a gate that said “do not enter” to get to the golf cart.
Wow, what to say about the mentality of “don’t leave the key in as there’s always a retarded waiting to get into it and drive off and if he does it is your fault and not his”..
it’s a very sad state of affairs when people say that.
Personally I would FIGHT for my rights with every ounce of strength and would SUE her for the damage she caused me, because SHE CAUSED IT and SHE should be held RESPONSIBLE for her actions.
We bought a used golf cart today for 3500.00.
Test drove it yesterday, and it was fine.
The bill of sale that the seller typed up states ‘as is’ and told us that there was nothing wrong with it….(we wrote a check)
After driving it for a couple of hours today, the thing was smoking so bad from the tail pipe that I’m surprised that birds were not falling from the trees.
Husband tried calling the guy and wouldnt ya know it he wont answer or call us back. So…..husband has now loaded the thing up and is taking it to the guys house, (as I type). We plan to put a stop payment on the check in the morning.
Are we outta luck?
We just bought it about 5 hours ago..MAX
Opinions or suggestions? I’m anxiously waiting to here from my husband, to see what the guy says or does….
deejaysp…
thanks for the quick response.
No, we asked the guy when we bought it today.
I heard my husband talking to him about it.
It’s like buying a used car. As-is…no warranty. I expect the bill of sale says as-is also. It sounds like he may have “seen you coming”. Unfortunate. I suppose you could put a stop payment on the check but I would be willing to bet he didn’t answer because he was at the bank…cashing it.
I have a Yamaha powered golf cart, (gasoline engine), it doesn’t run now. What do I check?
The solenoid that engages the gas engine starter via the throttle (foot-pedal) was very warm during a preliminary inspection. I want to be certain before going into town to purchase parts. It appears to be a multifunction solenoid located inside the eng. compartment and is wired to the ignition switch, battery, armature, and a relay switch,(forw.-rev.)? All the wiring and battery terminals are OK, the key ignition switch checks out OK. I disconnected the (new) battery to de-energize solenoid with no success. What’s next?
If it has spark plugs check to see if they have any corrosion on them or if it needs a tune up.
I was wondering how I would go about getting a job at a country club or at a golf club as a cart girl or working in the restaurant as a hostess/waitress. I am looking for a part time job and I am unsure as to whether I need a connection of some sort for this type of job or if I just call and ask if they are hiring????
Tips please!
Pull together a resume and go there. Better in person. It helps to know someone who is a member. Once you are in then you can get jobs at other country clubs. My son worked in them across a couple of states in high school, then summers while he was in college.
I know the legal age is 16, but what about the neighborhood sidewalk? My 13 year old is really responsible. We’re going to get him a golf cart and hopefully find a place to legally drive it. Any suggestions?
alot of kids in my neighborhood drive golfcarts and nobody has gotten in trouble so far. Its been this way for about 7 years!!! I dont think anyone would mind as long as he stays on the sidewalk!!! lol
Hi every1, looking into getting an electric golf cart for general driving around my neighborhood. Wanted to know out of the 3 manufacturers above which one is best, which one is worst, which is in between. Advantages and disadvantages of each brand whether electric or even gas powered if you want. Also how do they rank in both new and used price, which brand is easier to maintain and remains in great condition for the longest on the new and used market, which one is cheapest and easiest to get parts for etc, and just any general experiences with these 3 brands of cart that you have had???
Thanks y’all!!!!
club car is defanitly the highest quality.
