i moved out to Cali from the east and have a VW golf. I do not know if it is set up correctly to pass California smog checks. It isnt spitting out dark stuff or anything, i just dont know if a VW that old will be correctly set up to pass
THE ANSWER HERE IS SIMPLE…
It’s true, there is a difference with California legal and Federal legal emission requirements. And, for the most part California is stricter. However, a USED vehicle (such as yours) which has all the Federal required emission components, can pass the California smog inspection process and be legally registered in this state. It is true that California cars have different, and in some cases more, emission components then Federal cars, but this does not mean that these cars can’t be registered in California. A vehicle which is equipped with the necessary Federal Emission Components is eligible for California registration as long as the vehicle’s exhaust emissions fall within California’s limits.
Registration can not be completed with out a smog certificate and up to one month’s time can be given for completion after you move to the state. You’re first step should be to take the vehicle to a reputable smog station and obtain a California Smog Inspection. Your vehicle should only require a regular smog check, which may be obtained at either a Test Only smog station or Test & Repair. Next you will need to visit the DMV and present the vehicle title and smog certificate to the DMV agent. They will then register the car. You will also have to show proof of liability insurance.

Can you exchange your golf ball for a new one after you finish a hole?
yes. u cannot switch it in play tho. like u cannot play a low spin distance ball off the tee, then switch to a soft high spin ball for your approach shot.

I have my first private golf lesson today. How many lessons will I have to take before I can shoot in the 80s?
I’ve played golf a few years, but this year I intend to get good . Right now I’m shooting about 110. I’m a lady golfer.
it depends on how you play and what the instructor expects of you. I am going to guess that it will take atleast til June… because you have to make sure your alignment is good (might be part of the problem) and that you are hitting the ball correctly.
no one can really answer that question until after about 2-3 lessons. you need to make sure you are practicing what your instructor tells you to practice at home.
it is hard to take lessons once you have already played because… you have to get used to a new swing and everything.
just practice what he/she tells you and hopefully it won’t be too long although, you may want to stick with them just to make sure that you are doing everything correctly once you are hitting in the 80’s. i personally love my private golf lessons.. but thats just me
good luck and have fun!!
