one of the 6-volt batteries from my golf cart is dead, can i use a 6 volt from my tractor to replace it?
they are different brands of batteries. the golf cart has TROJANS.
The battery will work, the problem is that the battery for the golf cart is a deep cycle meaning it can run for a long time between recharging and the tractor battery can not for it is designed to mainly start the engine.
If in a hurry and you will replace the dead battery soon then yes you can use it. If wanting to just leave it in there it will not be a good idea.
And yes you can mix brands of batteries, nothing will be hurt.

6 and 8 volt golf cart batteries maintenance?
Get the operation and maintenance manual from the golf cart manufacturer. You’ll need to top off the cells with distilled water if the battery caps are removable. Then use a battery maintainer as shown below on any battery that isn’t being used regularly. You can charge a battery faster with the 10 Amp battery charger.

club golf cart will not move forward but the batteries are charged?
I tried moving the forward and reverse switch but that didn’t work. I jacked it up and It looks the one of the wheels moves forward very slowly but the other one is not moving.??? any more suggestions??
Possibly a bad ground. Same thing happens to your car when it won’t start and when you try to draw a lot of amps to the starter to spin the engine you get nothing. Check for corrosion, not only around the battery terminals but also on the ground strap that goes to the chassis.

How can I bring my old trojan golf-cart batteries back to life?
if they are wet cells; drain acid [save it] then flush three times with distilled h20. put cider vinegar into all cells. if none of them turn milky white, let sit for two days. then drain vinegar and flush 5 or 6 times with distilled h20. return sulfurous acid [filtered if possible] to cells. top off with d-h20. trickle charge at correct voltage and low amps[say 3] for a week or so. this has worked well for me with 12 v wet cells. be safe with acid. don’t put flame or cigs near it, it will explode. wear gloves and goggles. need good ventilation. acid can be diluted only so much. use hydrometer method to electrolytic specs of battery….. acetic acid in vinegar removes the particulate build up from plates that gets so thick that it prevents electron exchange between them, not much unlike the corrosion you find on outer battery terminals. for dry cells; many will come back to life with a trickle charge of 2 to 3 weeks [say around 2 amps]. though ive not tried the dry cell trickle, ive heard it works ok depending on the age, number of cycles in the batteries’ life and whether it has been discharged below 10% charge too many times

compair two 12 volt deepcycle batteries parallel to two 6 volt golf cart batteries in series for R.V.?
It would depend on the CCA (cold cranking amps) of the batteries… find out the total combined CCA of the two pair, usually this information is stamped on the battery or on the battery tag, whichever pair has the higher CCA would be your best choice. The 12 volt set up will probably give at least 600 CCA per battery, I’m not sure of the 6 volt amp ratings.

Anyone have any experience replacing golf cart batteries?
I have an EZ GO golf cart and the batteries are over five years old and are shot. I’d like to try a different brand because of the cost of the Trojans but I need something that is a suitable replacement amperage and size wise. HELP
There are several brands of cart batteries,a lil shopping will pay off.Just be sure the 6 volts you buy are deep cycle batteries, and the higher number of cycles are the better brands to buy……George
