clubs golf bag
What can I use to pack a set of golf clubs and bag?

Any ideas on what i can use to pack or box up a golf bag with a set of clubs? I called the local sporting goods store to see if they had any empty leftover golf boxes from their merchandise but said they did not.
Can i tape 2 boxes together to make one long enclosure? Any ideas would help. Thanks in advance.

umm i would say that would be fine just use a bunch of tape

or you can buy the boxes used for clothing you dont want wrinkled and you can put a rack in those would probably workl

best answer please

REALLY SMALL Golf Bag?

I’m looking for a really small golf bag. I saw a man carrying this golf “bag” once and it wasn’t a pencil/sunday bag. This one tightened 5-6 clubs together with a strap at one end and has more room on the bottom for the iron heads to fit. It was more like a “tight spandex” keeping the clubs together. Anyone know where I can find this?

The bag I can find closest to your description on at golfbagplace.com. It listed under Sunday bags and is called The Golfer’s Buddy. The also offer other small bags.

golf bags carts
Do golf “cart bags” fit on rolling pull carts as well as the electric riding carts?

Yes, they do. “Cart bags” are great if you never carry your own bag. “Cart bags” normally are bigger, heavier, have more room, more pockets and are more durable than “carry bags” or “stand bags”. Also, if you play much golf, buying a pull cart is a good investment rather than renting one. If you buy one, it will “pay for itself” over time and then some.

golf towels
What is the use of golf towels?

I’ve been golfing for a little over three months, and I just recieved a golf towel as a gift. Is there any specific “golf-use” for this towel? Or do i just use it for show and general purposes?

It has so many uses….wipe the sweat off your brow, instead of on your shirt. When you “ball-hawk” (search for balls in ponds) you can wipe the balls off and put them in your bag. If you’ve got a beer in the bag, towel off the outside so you won’t get your glove wet. And, the list goes on and on. It’s a handy-dandy little gift and deserves a nice thank-you note, or a dinner, or a sports event. or….

cart bags golf
What is the best brand of golf cart bag?

I am currently shopping for a golf cart bag for my boyfriend. He wants something with a putter well and many full length dividers, also the more pockets, it seems the better. We have looked at the Burton Cart Blanche and he likes it but I’ve heard that it isn’t a good brand and should search for something else. Any help on this is appreciated!

Ogio, great quality and great colors.

golf exercises distance
What are some good exercises to get extra distance in my golf game?

I know that the best way is to be accurate which is also more important than distance but besides that….what are some good exercises to do to add distance and perhaps clubhead speed with my shots? I also know that clubhead speed depends largely on the whole body working together to transfer energy but I am just curious about exercises to do. thanks a lot!

As I have gotten older(45), I have found that core strength has increased my distance more than arm strength or leg strength.

Using a workout ball do 3 sets of 15 sit-ups, then put your belly on the ball and do 3 sets of back bends to strengthen your lower back.
Ensure that you do full moves to keep your muscles stretched out.
NO COMPRESSED MOVES!! as this will shorten your muscles over time. *Note* Look at how a Body Builders arms are always bent, even when they’re just standing around.

Now for the fun stuff.

Using a weighted club device, I prefer a donut, make 15-20 swings continually by starting the club forward until your hands are hip high, then swing the club backwards to full extension, then forward to full extension. Back-Forward 1, back forward 2 ect…Only swing as hard as your balance will allow, easy at first working to full power. Goal is to reach 100 swings both forward and backwards without stopping and maintaining balance throughout it all.

Hope that this helps.

golf bags with wheels
how to replace the wheels on a golf bag pull cart?

I am building a cart to pull equipment onto the beach. The cart has rubber tires on it now, and I want to change the tire to 10″ pneumatic tires for the easier pull. I don’t know how to remove the first set of wheels. The end piece looks like a tiny fedora hat, has two indentions on the sides that hold it on. How do I remove these? And how do I put the other wheels on?

squeeze the 2 indents and it should pop off, this should allow accesss to the nut that holds the wheel in place
