Purple Golf Clubs!!?

Okay I know that it sounds stupid, but I love to golf and I’m looking for a set of PURPLE Women’s golf clubs. I know that there are junior one’s at Target, but my husband won’t let me have them. (I’m short enough for them!) So any thoughts people?? I’m hoping to have them by June for our family reunion golfing tournament! I already have purple shoes, gloves, balls, tees, the clubs will just top it all off!

Is it normal for a golf club head to break & go flying 200 yards?

OK so i bought a $20 on sale Wilson #3 Hybrid at big 5 sporting goods. Regular price is $100 so i thought i got a decent deal..
So I go to the driving range & halfway through my bucket of balls everything is going cool then on my next swing the head of the club breaks off & goes flying 200 yards…
I was like WTH..this was my first time ever at a range..
The guy at the club said the club i bought had stress fracture cracks so it was defective..
Did this ever happen to you?
I know i bought a cheap club but can this happen with expensive equipment?

Oh yeah that happens to me all the time.

How much is this golf bag worth? A Ben Hogan one?

I have this brand new, never used golf bag from Ben Hogan. Its the Apex 99 Cart Bag and I was wondering how much it was worth.

Lowest price I could find on Google shopping was $69.99 at Golfio, most were in the $130-$150 range.

Golf Tournament Prizes?

I’m planning a golf tournment for our local Jaycee’s chapter. It will be open to the public and we have some major national sponsors to do the signs and such. My question is do you give out cash prizes to the top teams (i’m thinking a two person scramble) or do you just give flag prizes? Its going to be about $50 a person to play.

I wouldn’t give out cash prizes if it is a fundraiser. This just decreases your take. And for a fundraiser, I don’t think the players expect cash prizes.

Get vendors and businesses to contribute prizes. They will gladly do so in return for the publicity and recognition. For example, ask the host course to donate some free rounds of golf, tokens for the driving range, a gift certificate to the Pro Shop, etc. Go to the local discount stores (e.g., Wal Mart) and ask for donations from Sporting Goods that are golf related.
