drivers golf clubs

what is the diffrence between performance of wooden drivers and modern drivers (golf clubs)?
Modern drivers are simply LONGER and STRAIGHTER. Some have argued that pured (squarely hit) shots on wooden and modern drivers are about the same, but because metal and titanium areharder materials, this logic is just not right. Metal. woods usually go 5-10 percent further than persimmon woods, and titanium goes 5-10 percent further than metal. The big difference, however, is the distance saved on off-center shots. Back in the day, if you hit the ball just a smidgen off center you would see a noticeable loss in distance. However, with today’s mammoth 460cc drivers you can hit the ball literally an inch off center and barely lose distance. Second, new drivers have a higher moment of inertia meaning that it’s harder to twist the shaft through impact and is thus more accurate. Ain’t technology sick.
