GOLF BALLS-TITLEIST VS RECYLED BALL(top flight,pinnacle,spalding,…)?

To save money,began purchasing bags of 45 recycled golf balls for 15 dollars at a sporting goods store. How much distance off the tee am I losing by using these golf balls? Someone told me recently that a Titleist Prov1 ball would give me 20 more yards.Is this accurate? The only problem is they are extremely expensive.
Would buying used Titelist balls on Ebay suffice?
What are some other disadvantages of not buying better balls.
